GRAVIMIX is an efficient dosing-, weighing and blending system. The GRAVIMIX is suited for use on injection-molding, extrusion and blow-molding machines and as central-blender for several processing machines where consistency and high quality is required.

The blenders can be installed directly on the processing machine or placed on a stand with integrated vacuum take-off box next to the processing machine or on a platform above the processing machine. Components are dosed individually using pneumatically operated slide valves or have a combination with one to two electrically operated tube feeders.

Each component is dispensed directly into the weigh-pan which is supported by a high precision loadcell system. When all the components are correctly weighed, the complete batch is discharged into the mixing chamber. An efficient horizontal mixer provides an uniform blend. A level sensor in the mixing chamber controls the total dosing cycle.

Gravimetric blenders are available in more than 50 combinations. Throughputs of up to 1800kg/hr and with up to 7 different components are available. A simple user friendly, basic interface, or full industrial PC with touch screen controls are available. Below is listed the main types of this equipment with links to specifications. Gravimix FGB - Mini


The smallest GRAVIMIX dosing-blending system FGB-Mini is designed for efficient dosing/blending of dry, free-flowing thermoplastic materials at a throughput of up to 50 kg/hr (with 4 components). Note that the throughput depends on the number of components, material characteristics, bulk density and percentages.

The FGB-Mini is especially suited for injection moulding, small extrusion and blow-moulding machines where consistency and high quality of the finished product is required.

This compact and space-saving blending system can be installed directly on the throat of a processing machine. Due to simple removable parts a quick cleaning and material change is guaranteed.

Gravimix FGB - 1.5


The GRAVIMIX dosing-blending system FGB-1.5 is designed for efficient dosing/blending of dry, free-flowing thermoplastic materials at a throughput of up to 300 kg/hr (where 4 components are used). Note that the throughput depends on the number of components, material characteristics, bulk density and percentages.

The FGB-1.5 is especially suited for injection moulding, small extrusion and blow-moulding machines where consistency and high quality of the finished product is required.

Gravimix FGB - 2


The Gravimix dosing-blending system FGB-2 is designed for efficient dosing/blending of dry, free-flowing thermoplastic materials at a throughput of 195 - 420 kg/hr.

The FGB-2 is often used on injection moulding, extrusion, and blow-moulding machines where consistency and high quality of the finished product is required.

Gravimix FGB - 5


The Gravimix dosing-blending system FGB-5 is designed for efficient dosing/blending of dry, free-flowing thermoplastic materials at a throughput of 355 - 945 kg/hr.

The FGB-5 is suited for dosing of virgins (granulate), free flowing regrind, master batch and/or additives. This blending system can be installed directly on the processing machine, on a platform or next to the processing machine. Owing to simple removable parts a quick cleaning and material change is guaranteed.

Gravimix FGB - 10


The Gravimix dosing-blending system FGB-10 is designed for efficient dosing/blending of dry, free-flowing thermoplastic materials at a throughput of 750 - 1800 kg/hr.

The Gravimix records the exact consumption of all materials, allowing for a precise calculation of all production costs. Due to the high and consistent dosing accuracy, the additive percentage can be reduced to lower tolerance limits without rejects or loss in quality.

Gravimix FGB - 25


The Gravimix dosing-blending system FGB-25 is large sized system designed for efficient dosing/blending of dry, free-flowing thermoplastic materials at a throughput of 1000 - 2750 kg/hr.

The FGB-25 is suitable for large extruders, blow-moulding machines and as a central-blender to feed several processing machines where consistency and high quality of the finished product is required.

The Gravimix records the exact consumption of all materials, allowing for a precise calculation of all production costs. Due to the high and consistent dosing accuracy, the additive percentage can be reduced to lower tolerance limits without rejects or loss in quality.
